- Experienced in racing Cross-Country and Enduro
- Qualifications: Grade 2 SMBLA tutor + courses on coaching techniques and styles
About the Workshop
This workshop is ideal for:
- beginners wanting to learn the basic skills of mountain biking
- competent riders wanting to improve their technical riding.
The areas covered will depend on your ability but will include some of the following:
- Bike set-up
- Track stands
- Drop offs
- Step downs
- Bunny Hops
- Manual front and rear wheel lifts
- Power-assisted front wheel lifts
- Cornering at speed
- Slow speed balance
- Technical climbing and descending
- Breaking - its not as straight forward as it seems!
- Lines - sight lines and making the right line choice
- Riding smoothly and lightly, including un-weighting
- Body positioning and movement
- Pumping to maintain momentum
- Efficient and powerful pedal strokes
- Strengthening your mind - dealing with over-facing conditions
